A new feature to be added in the Alice patch is the Equipment Enhancement. There are two types of Equipment Enhancement:
                     • Equipment Enhancement with Pets
                     • Holed-equipment Enhancement with Gemstones
 
Equipment Enhancement with Pets:
 
This function allows players to merge their pets into their weapons or armors so as to fortify self defense with pet's element. With this feature, players no longer need to manually execute commands for pets to be placed in arms or armor and will not share experience points with pets after each battle. However, do note that once the Equipment Enhancement command is executed, players will not be able to undo the function and release pets out from the arms or armor.
Although the effect of Equipment Enhancement is not as great as the manually-executed pet commands, it will be a great choice for players who want to spare sharing the experience points with pets. Players will have the chance to prep each weapons with different pets for different areas or battles.
 
Equipment Enhancement with Pets Requirements and Restrictions:
    1) Only hand-carried weapons or worn-armors can be used to perform Equipment Enhancement with Pets, including blade, sword, axe, wand, abacus, whip, gloves, armor, shield and helm.
    2) Holed-Equipment are not allowed to do Equipment Enhancement with Pets (see Holed-Equipment below)
    3) Only pets released from egg or capsule are allowed.
    4) Armor must be worn.
    5) Pet’s level must not be higher than weapon or armor level.
    6) After Equipment Enhancement with Pets feature, armor or weapon's level will remain unchanged.
    7) Go to Pet shops' NPC at: Rainbow: NPC Peisan, BlueBird: NPC Miuya, Goldburg: NPC Kiddie.
    8) Transaction fee required.
    9) No need to use player's MP after Equipment Enhancement with Pets feature.
    10) The attributes of the player's arms or armor (attack and defense type) will be the same as the pet's element.
    11) The enhanced weapon and armor will have your Pet's name.
 
Holed-Equipment Enhancement with Gemstones:
 
When a player's work skill (eg. Robe-Making, Leather-Armor-Making, Armor-Making) is greater than level 60, you will be able to make Holed-Equipment and/or armor.
Holed-Equipment/Armor can be inlaid with special gemstones at The Jeweler in Goldburg. Gemstones may be embedded into your equipment on a one-time basis and Holed-Equipment will then be known as Embedded Equipment. The Embedded Equipment will be stronger than normal equipment.
